Atomic Orbital Hydrogen
chemistry.. please help… dont overlook…best answer=10points…. =]?
1. in going from hydrogen to helium what do the changes in atomc radius (37 to 32pm) and ionization energy (1311 kJ/mole to 2377 kJ/mole) suggest about the relative magnitudes of the changes in the electron-nucleus attraction AND the electron – electron repulsion?
2. Given that the atomic radius and ionization energy of lithium are 152 pm and 520 kJ/mole, respectively, how does the orbital box diagram for lithium in the preliminary activity help to explain athe observed differences in atomic radus and ionization energy between helium and lithiumm…
man that was alot
any help please =]
This is homework *help*; you’ve merely posted your assignment. Show what you’ve done so far, explain where you’re stuck, and we can help you over the rough spot. Simply doing the whole assignment for you would be cheating.
