Who is behind the bashing of Ethanol?
Before there was anti-freeze wood alchohol was used and it was the cheapest thing you could buy being made from wood scraps, even the furnaces were powered by sawdust, water was injected across the fire through nickel bearing nozzles, creating Hydrogen and Oxygen which burned with very high levels of Heat, and we don’t have the Moxy now? Ha! We can do it all but we have lost the character to take it on the nose for five minute for thirty years of benefits, and that pertains to everything in modern life. Am I right or am I wrong?
Nobody is bashing ethanol. But what they aren’t telling you is that you have to have specially equiped cars to handle 85% ethanol. You can’t just drive up to the pumps and put 85 proof in your gas tank.
Now the 10% ethanol is ok to use in all engines other than deisel. I run it in my PT Cruiser and actually get better gas mileage on the highway than with conventional gasoline.
