Hydrogen Wound Dressing
wound on cat’s leg BAD?
we lost our cat but he just came back with a wound on his leg. when i cleaned it up and used Hydrogen peroxide, wich foamed up, i can see that the skin in pulled back and the muscle is showing. i have to get him to the vet but is there some type of liquid bandage or a dressing i can put on it until we can get him there? he’s not in pain other than squirming when i put on the h. peroxide and seemed to be more interested in getting something to eat. the wound is on the outside of his front leg where your forearm would be. thanks anybody for REAL answers here.
thank you all! i’ll not use the peroxide anymore and got some topical. sorry i won’t pick a best answer here…it wouldn’t be right. THANK YOU! and we’re going to the vet in the morning.
ok, no more peroxide, that can actually do more damage than good. keep him from licking it, maybe tape a CLEAN peice of cloth over it, although that will probably annoy him. get him to a vet asap and they’ll take care of your little guy
